I'm reading the book Freakonomics, and adore it so far.

Discovered a 2 million year old stone, with fossils of insects in my Opa's home- was given as a present.

Since I am waiting and pondering all day I thought that I would update you on my summer holidays. About 3 days ago I arrived in Brussels airport and took a taxi to Schilde Belgium. On my arrival I was greeted by a ridiculous blind dog, Bo, and relatives of course.

Day 1

Arrival in Brussels and taxi to Schilde. After some fine cheese and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc we drove to the local fish market where we gazed upon a dozen fish, some odd or strange, awaiting their appointment with the mincer. Yet, it was remarkable to walk amongst the streets, although windy, and admire the stunning architecture. After numerous minutes debating which fish to purchase we settled on some typical Herring and Salmon. Along with this, we purchased olives and some silly old tuna paste, which frightens me.

Day 2

I woke up relatively early today. Was greeted with a coffee and some cheese, bread and paté for breakfast. It was my grandfather's Birthday today, 80th if I might add. We planned a delectable garden party, and set up a tent for some shade. Oh, how the weather was fantastic!

Day 3

Decided to go on a bike ride around the neighborhood to figure out exactly, or somewhat, what is going on around here. I rented a bike with my brother and Martina and long story short, managed to not get any bruises or have to go to hospital..

Day 4

Went on a bike ride with Mariette and continued to read Freakonomics in the living room. Hopefully I will have more exciting things to do tomorrow.

Day 5

Awoke reasonably late today and went to the Wijnejem (Shopping centre). Was dropped off here for a couple of hours and went to Zara, H & M and Massimo Dutti.

Day 6

Went in to town today and bought a long purple dress from Blue Marine. Still trying to be reasonably conservative with my spending as I want to have money to spend when I'm in England with my best friend.
